The 7th Annual Winter Warmth Outreach
Held in conjunction with the Tuesday evening Free Community MealOU CAN HELP MAKE SOMEONE WARM AND COZY THIS WINTER
by donating new or gently worn, machine washable, winter outerwear, including coats. mittens, gloves, warm socks OR by making monetary donations to go toward the purchase of items from local thrift shops.
Monetary donations may be made online, mailed to Grace at 3700 Cottage Grove, Des Moines, IA 50311 or dropped off at the church office. Please mark donations “Free Clinic Meal Winter Warmth”.
I purchased five, like-new, winter coats from local thrift stores last week for a total of $32 plus tax. I’ll be happy to shop for you and launder the coats, once your donations are received or once you have committed to making a donation via a phone call, text or email.

Desired items include: Men’s coats and gloves in sizes XL and L, women’s coats and gloves in sizes L and M, and boys & girls coats and gloves in sizes 8, 10, 12, 14. The greatest needs are men’s socks, coats and gloves in sizes L and XL.
Donations may be dropped off in the church office or, preferably, brought to the Activity Center on Sunday mornings or Tuesday afternoons between 3:00 and 5:00 and placed on a table by the kitchen door marked “Winter Warmth Donations”, now through November 7, 2023.
