The Open Table
Sunday Nights 6:30 -7:30
An open and honest conversation on faith, spirituality and the human experience. We meet at the Wesley House 2718 University at 6:30 every Sunday evening.
Our discussions will be spurred by the “animate” series of videos. “animate” is all about having “animated discussions about faith.” The series sessions are a guided tour through the basics of Christian theology and experience. We’ll hear from incredibly creative people like Brian McLaren, Lillian Daniels, Nadia Bolz-Weber, and Bruce Reyes-Chow. The series is designed to “raise questions, to flip established answers and assumptions upside down, and to stick in the heads of participants for months and even years to come.”
No need to read anything in between gatherings. We’ll come together, get acquainted, eat some snacks, watch a video together, and delve into the big questions of faith as they relate to the way we live in the world today.
